ASSISTANT ECOLOGIST

Joe Lambert BSc (Hons) MSc

Joe has almost completed his PhD in Wildlife Ecology and Management. He is excited to build on his academic experience and to further develop his skills and experience in the ecology sector.

Joe has a BSc in Biology and Biochemistry from Keele University, and an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation from Nottingham Trent University. His MSc was tailored towards a career in ecological consultancy, and during his studies he conducted habitat surveys and surveys for newts, bats, and birds.

Joe is due to graduate with a PhD in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Beijing Forestry University in China. His research focused on burrowing mammals on the grasslands of western China. He has a keen interest in small mammals, and is a member of the IUCN Lagomorph Specialist Group, which is responsible for assessing the conservation status of the world’s rabbits and hares. During his studies in the UK and abroad he has gained experience surveying a wide variety of species.

Joe is looking forward to working with the team at Inspired Ecology and putting his academic experience to practical use.
